About:

Keely Song is an Assistant Professor of Dance at Brigham Young University and a Certified Laban Movement Analyst. She received her MFA in dance from The University of Iowa and was awarded the prestigious Dean’s Graduate Fellowship. Previously, she graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy and after high school received her B.A. in dance education from Brigham Young University.

As a teacher, Keely enjoys experimenting and blending various forms of dance genres in order to prepare students for this current phase of contemporary eclectic dance. She is also invested in highlighting and honoring the individual artist and preparing him/her to be an engaged artist/citizen in the community beyond BYU.

In her spare time you will find Keely taking capoeira, breaking, hiking, or at cello lessons with her three boys…or eating a donut.
